Wake Up

The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household. 2 Samuel 6:11

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:6

Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.” He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. He was amazed at their lack of faith. Mark 6:4-6

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? 1 Corinthians 6:19

You are a temple of the Holy Spirit. God dwells within you. As a result, many amazing things are happening to and through you. God wants us to become more and more aware of this. Meditate on it, pray about it, declare it. When Jesus was in his own home town he couldn't do much because of the unbelief of the people. In a way, we are like Nazareth. Jesus is in our midst and willing to do great things. He is asking us to believe in him. He is asking us to acknowledge who he is and the goodness and mercy in our lives and in the world. Read his word and declare it to be true. Choose to believe. Choose to wake up and see the goodness of the Lord. The more you do this, your faith will grow. Then he can even do greater things in and through you.
